Gail Jenne was born in Edson, Alberta and grew up in Edmonton. She went to Grant McEwan College and studied Jazz Performance, where she met her partner Richard. They came to Smithers in 1985 with two young girls; their son was born in Smithers. Gail coordinates the “Ground to Griddle Neighbourhood Kitchen” for Smithers Community Services Association and is on the board of the Groundbreakers Collective, a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) cooperative. Gail also co-directs the Local Vocals Community Choir.
Gail loves to sing, garden, cook, play with her grandchildren, and ride her bike.
